Get Into Orbit Exchange: Betting Exchange Access and Sign-Up, Explained

Orbit Exchange (also written OrbitX, Orbit X or Orbitexch) is a betting exchange, a market where backers and layers face each other instead of a bookmaker. Accounts run through brokers and agents. A broker opens the account, takes your deposit, runs the ID check and gives you access to its Orbit tool, called OrbitX, Sharp Exchange or FairExchange. The same broker account also opens Asian bookmakers and other exchanges. Pick the situation that sounds like yours, or compare the brokers that open Orbit Exchange.

How you get into Orbit Exchange

An agent sits between you and the exchange, and here that agent is a broker. The whole job is picking the right one.

  1. Choose a broker

Pick the one whose coverage matches the places you want on the account. All four brokers on this site open Orbit Exchange.

  2. Open and fund the account

Sign up and make a first deposit. The broker asks for an ID document and proof of address, and decides when.

  3. Trade from the broker's Orbit tool

OrbitX, Sharp Exchange or FairExchange, depending on the broker. Different door, same exchange.

It is Tuesday night. Your read on the match says 2.14. Your bookmaker offers 2.05 and a £15 limit, because it has decided what kind of customer you are. (It did not ask.)

On an exchange the other side of your bet is another bettor, not a bookmaker managing its risk. Your stake is whatever other users are offering at that price. Nobody rules on you.

Take a bettor who stakes £400 at 2.14 once a week and would stake £2,000 if the market allowed it. On an exchange the question is no longer who decides. It is how much sits at 2.14 right now. Deep markets answer; a youth-cup tie does not.

That is the whole idea. Everything else on this site is about getting through the door, and working out what a win is worth once you are inside.

Also on my account

One broker account, many markets

Coverage is not equal. Here is how many of the sixteen places in the coverage matrix each broker opens.

Orbit Exchange and Betfair are the only two exchanges that all four brokers reach, and all four open Pinnacle too. Everything else, from Sbobet to Polymarket, depends on which broker you choose.

If Orbit Exchange is all you want, any of the four does it, so pick on how you like to sign up. If you also want Asian bookmakers or prediction markets, pick on coverage first.

AsianConnect opens 7 of the 16, with no Sbobet and no exchange besides Betfair and Orbit Exchange. BetInAsia and MadMarket open all 16. Sportmarket opens 12, without Kalshi, Turf7, BetISN or Penta88. AsianConnect suits Orbit Exchange with Pinnacle and Betfair alongside; for Sbobet or a wider list of exchanges, pick one of the other three.

The same read, two prices

An exchange pays you at the price another bettor accepted, then takes a commission on your net profit in the market. A bookmaker pays you at a price that already has its margin inside.

The honest comparison is the price you keep. Work it out once, with your own numbers (the dull ones, not the hopeful ones), and you stop guessing.

Enough story. The multiplication is the same every time, and the back and lay calculator runs it with whatever rate you type in.

Illustration, not a quote

Back £100 at 2.14 on the exchange. Gross profit is £114. Say the commission is 3% of that profit (£3.42): you keep £110.58, an effective price of 2.106.

The bookmaker at 2.05 pays £105 profit on the same £100, if it accepts the full £100. At a £15 limit the profit is £15.75.

Reality check

An exchange gives you a market priced by other bettors, not an edge. Most bettors lose over time, here as anywhere. Commission and liquidity still decide what you keep.

Bet only what you can afford to lose, and set a limit for yourself before you deposit.

Questions people ask first

Why does Orbit Exchange go by so many names?

Because OrbitX, Orbit X, Orbit and Orbitexch all name the same betting exchange. AsianConnect gives the name OrbitX to its own access tool as well.

Where does the Register link on Orbit Exchange lead?

It leads to a broker. The way in is a broker, and the access guide lays out the four routes and who each one suits.

Is Orbit Exchange available where I live?

Rules on online betting differ from country to country. Each broker publishes its own list of the countries it accepts, and that list settles it for that broker. Where Orbit Exchange is available goes through it in more depth.

Which broker should I pick?

Start from the markets you want next to Orbit Exchange. All four also open Pinnacle and Betfair. Sbobet comes with three of the four, Kalshi and Turf7 with two. The route finder on this page shows who opens what.
